Welcome to Hawes |
Last weekend we took advantage of the good weather (good job we did, because we certainly don't have it this weekend) and took a scenic drive further into the Yorkshire Dales to the town of Hawes.

View over the Dales |
I've been hearing all about this place, famous for its Wensleydale cheese creamery, for some time so I was glad that the circumstances allowed for us to get there.

Winding roads |
It's a beautiful drive to arrive at a beautiful place, and the cobbled winding streets, peppered with antique shops and tea rooms, are a firm favourite with motorcyclists from all over. It's easy to get lost in a world of your own, whiling away time in nick nac shops, looking at thingumajigs, and being quite awe struck at the beautiful surroundings.

Tea stop |
It was such a leisurely afternoon, and extremely enjoyable.

Idyllic |
On the idyllic drive home, we stopped off at Aysgarth falls, which is on my list of places to visit this summer. It was so pretty, and certainly worth a return journey that will probably involve a hike, dogs and a picnic.
