Book the trend

am, and always have been, just a little bit obsessed with books. As a child I was something of a geek and would revel in getting new books at Christmas or for birthdays, consuming those little Beatrix Potter tales and reading Roald Dahl over, and over, and over again.

Couple this with a book obsessed husband and it will come as no surprise that our house is rampant with books. They fill book cases, hang around on tables and are generally just, there.
Books and ornaments

My daily commute has given me the opportunity to indulge my love of reading with more regularity now. I'm determined though that I don't indulge in the purchase of more books just yet. Even though I rarely buy new (but often receive them as gifts), it seems wasteful to buy more when I know there are plenty around the house that I haven't got around to.

So, this week, I sorted out my 'to read' pile, putting it nicely in one place so that I can work my way through. It's so much easier than trying to find them amongst all the others.
The reading list

Once these are all read and donated to the charity shop then I will look at buying more, second hand of course. Any recommendations?

Lovely photos.
I never walk into town without taking a finished book to re-donate to the chazza. Jo Nesbo is a gripping writer. I'm just finishing 12 Years A Slave (5 books for £1 from Age UK) it's incredible. x

Peter has read 12 years a slave, it's knocking around so I may get around to reading that. I've seen the film which was very difficult to watch. X
